2008 Turchi Merlot Santa Barbara Highlands Vineyard | 72 cases produced.
100% Merlot, special barrel selection, primarily clone 3. This wine spent 36 months in barrel, 12 months in bottle.
This is a bigger style Merlot, which is very popular with Cabernet Sauvignon drinkers.


The Turchi wines represent a family project that began with Winemaker Dave Corey, his mother Melinda Japs (maiden name Turchi) and his uncle Tony Turchi. Veering away from his style in blending wines, for this project the focus is to produce single varietal wines. Most known for a series of Cabernet Sauvignon bottlings, other varietals under the Turchi label include Sangiovese, Primitivo, and Malbec.
