The biggest difference between the 02's and the 03's is size.  The 03's are more structured and bigger overall.  2003 was the first year we completely controlled the vineyard!

Vineyard News:  17" of rain this year!  Finished the 2nd shoot positioning and removal pass in the Grenache and first in Mourvedre on May 28.  50% bloom on 6/1-3 for the Grenache and 6/5 and 6/6 in the Mourvedre.

Wine News:  The 02's are sold out! The 03's are even better than the 02's if you can believe that!  All of the wines have more structure and are a little bigger.  Part of this is due to greater clonal choices and 03 was the first year we completly controlled the vineyard. The 04 whites were blended on June 10 and one of the 04 red blends.

Recap of the 04 vintage- All wines went through 7-10 day cold soaks before fermentation started.  Fermentations lasted 21-27 days. Almost every lot was co-fermented, I find that the wine integrates much better.
